NEW OPENING – The new Versace boutique is located in the heart of Milan in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The elegant space is housed in an historic palazzo, retaining all of its original decor in intact, miraculously saved from allied bombing during World War II. Thanks to in-depth restoration – supervised by the Ministry of Fine Arts – friezes, capitals, columns and other decorative parts were brought to light to give life to a lost masterpiece. Overlooking the central octagon with three window displays, the twin-level boutique extends over a surface area of 255 square metres. To celebrate this opening (September 2014), the couture house has launched the “Versace Ornamental Collection”, embellished by hot printing reminiscent of the design of friezes and capitals.
