Al Fresco, a green picturesque corner of Milan is set in the heart of the Tortona district, known for its design aesthetic. The perfect location for those in search of fine food and an idyllic setting

Al frescoAl Fresco stems from a partnership between agronomist Emanuele Bortolotti and publicist Ferdinando Ferdinandi and, above all, from their ideas. Located in an old restructured industrial warehouse, in the heart of the Tortona district, a luminous veranda resembling a green house, a charming garden framed by magnificent plants including wisteria, cherry trees and roses and an open-plan kitchen that turns out fresh bread, desserts and timehonoured dishes, serve as the perfect setting for those in search of an oasis of greenery and relaxation.
Al fresco restaurantAl Fresco is not just a restaurant but also an exhibition space where people can share their passion for food and art. A place of calm (as its sign suggests) offering a genuine, organic, fresh menu upgraded by chef Kokichi Takahashi (formerly the righthand man of Alessandro Negrini and Fabio Pisani of famed Milanese restaurant “Il Luogo di Aimo e Nadia”). Takahashi has a passion for authentic flavours like the fragrance of Pra basil, stone-ground flour and Sardinian saffron and a flair for combining and reinterpreting everything that he has learnt in the kitchens of the starred chefs with whom he has worked to give his dishes all the goodness and freshness that diners expect in a place of this calibre. To end on a high, or rather, sweet note, the restaurant’s patisserie offers delicious homemade desserts.

Closed on Monday. The kitchen is open from 12.30pm to 2.30pm (at lunch) and from 7.30pm to 11.00pm (at dinner).
