After the Marchesino – the restaurant inaugurated in 2008 by Gualtiero Marchesi and on whose “ashes” this new foodie location stands – Milan has a new destination combining tradition and innovation: the Ristorante Teatro alla Scala – IL FOYER. Here, in a new setting designed by Michael Vincent Uy and inspired by the adjacent Teatro alla Scala, the best of Italian and Milanese cuisine inspired by Gualtiero Marchesi takes centre stage, though enhanced by a creative twist. The menu by the Executive Chef Anatolij Franzese features some of the most iconic Milanese dishes, plus innovative pairings, while the cafeteria offers a vast array of sweet and savoury treats starting from breakfast-time. A selection of cocktails inspired by the operas featured at Teatro alla Scala can be sipped during the aperitivo ritual or as an after-dinner break.
