A journey to rediscover the life of a genius

The New Leonardo da Vinci Galleries at the Museum of Science and Technology, which re-opened in late Novembre 2019, host the only permanent exhibition using a strictly scientific approach to enlighten visitors about the person, and work of Leonardo the engineer, humanist and explorer of nature. A spectacular setting accompanies visitors on a journey that starting from Florence in the 15th century, traces Leonardo’s training and the influence of Tuscan engineers, up to his stay in Milan during the rule of the Sforza family. The journey through the art of war, work and production, flight, waterways and architecture ends with an overview of Leonardo’s influence on Lombard Renaissance painting, and an immersive installation dedicated to the drawings that he executed during the last years of his life.
