3. Sloan Square, events from September to May

Born from an idea by John Peter Sloan, from which it takes its name, Sloan Square pub is a must-try venue for beer and live music lovers. This characteristic pub with a typical London allure, stores over 24 different craft beers plus 400 bottled labels to be paired with a rich menu featuring British-style meat or fish delicacies, tartare, appetisers, burgers and puddings. 4. Nidaba Theatre, open from 21 September to June

This place has been awarded by the Municipality for its high-quality music activity. Lovers of blues, soul, punk and funky music will find the perfect destination to satisfy all their music whims at Nidaba Theatre. Located just steps away from Naviglio Pavese (the side of Milan’s Naviglio towards the nearby city of Pavia) and the recently renowned Darsena basin, this intimate casual pub and theatre offers an all-year-long rich programming of events, with live performances by local and international artists to be enjoyed while drinking a refreshing after dinner cocktail or savouring a gourmet sandwich or, why not, a quick snack. Due to its small size, Nidaba Theatre does not accept reservations, so guests interested in enjoying their favourite live show are advised to enter the venue by 9pm, before the concert starts.

5. Bonaventura Music Club, closed from 4 to 31 August

A meld of Soul, Funk, Blues, Swing, Rock and Roll and Pop music together with quick snacks, burgers and other tasty offers changing on a seasonal base and matched by a rich selection of home brews: welcome to Bonaventura Music Club. This small club and restaurant mostly loved for its lively and buzzy atmosphere, also features burlesque shows every last Wednesday of the month carried out by Milan’s Champagne Academy of Burlesque Education, combining music, entertainment and beer culture.

7. Hosteria della Musica alla Ferrovia, all year-long

Just steps from Centrale railway station those seeking a trendy destination to taste recipes of the Italian tradition – spanning from the Milanese-style risotto to Fiorentina-style meat and Neapolitan pizza – while listening to live music can opt to dine at Hosteria della Musica alla Ferrovia. The restaurant, sperad over two storeys features an elegantly furnished post-industrial design, two 12-seat private dining rooms, a 14-seat wine room and a Cigar Club smoking room. Every Tuesday evening the restaurant features the special Smaila’s entartianment, live non-stop performances by Italian singer Umberto Smaila and his band (until May 2019).
